Sierra Schaidle

Licensed Marriage Family Therapist, LMFT

I graduated in 2020 from Purdue University Northwest with a degree in Marriage and Family Therapy. My research was heavily focused on issues around trauma and diversity, particularly within the LGBTQ+ community. I have worked in a variety of settings with individuals, partners, and families, and my specialties are working on strengthening relationships and processing trauma. I use a blend of trauma-informed, Gottman, narrative, and emotion-focused techniques to address a variety of mental health concerns, including–but not limited to–relationship stressors, anxiety, depression, sexual issues, LGBTQ+ concerns, managing chronic illness, trauma, and feeling disconnected from the self. I am dedicated to inclusive and antiracist practices for clients of all backgrounds.

I am also trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), which is a specialized form of therapy. It was originally developed to treat trauma but has since been highly researched and shown to be helpful with a wide variety of mental health concerns. If you are interested in learning more about EMDR, check out www.emdria.org. If you want to get set up with EMDR treatment, reach out and let me know!
